In the heart of the Gulf of Siam, Southern Thailand, far away from the busy mainland you will find the island of Koh Tao. As part of the Samui Archipelago, Koh Tao is the smallest and most distant island in the group.
Although it is at least a 3½ hour journey by boat, travelling to Koh Tao has never been easier. The most common route is from Chumphon, which is about 500km south of Bangkok, the main entry point to Thailand. There are regular trains from Bangkok to Chumphon, and Andaman Air also run daily flights. Ferries depart from Chumphon to Koh Tao on a regular basis. Due to weather conditions boat services may sometimes not run on schedule. This is especially the case during the wet season from the end of October to November.

Many people also arrive to Koh Tao from the south, departing from the mainland at Suratthani or Donsak and usually traveling via the nearby islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. There are regular boat services between these islands and Koh Tao. For those that are not on a budget Koh Samui has an international airport run by Bangkok Air and Thai Airways have services arriving in Suratthani.
All travel arrangements can be reserved at most travel agents while in Thailand, where you can purchase a combined Bus/Train/Boat ticket.

The only port of entry to Koh Tao is at Mae Haad Village. If you call us in advance on 077 456058 and tell us the arrival time we will arrange for someone to come and collect you from the ferry in Mae Haad. If you have to make your own way, you can either take a boat taxi to Haad Sai Daeng (cost about 150 Baht) or a normal taxi overland which will cost about the same.
Looking forward to seeing you here!!
